The Conguillio National Park is one of the most appreciated places by nature lovers. From there, you can see the Llaima Volcano and Sierra Nevada that feeds the nearby lakes with its defrosting process, you will also visit other captivating places such as Laguna Verde, Arcoíris Lagoon and Conguillío Lake.
This National Park stands out because of its grand forests, abundant in araucarias and coigües, and its landscapes decorated with volcanic activity vestiges. With a little luck, you’ll be able to find some of the animal species that make up its varied native wildlife.
Our route begins passing through Melipeuco, in the direction of the park. After accessing the park, our first stop will be Laguna Verde, named like that due to the color of its waters, and then head to the Laguna Arcoíris, where you’ll be able to appreciate the intense green, deep blue and crystalline water of a flooded Nothofagus forest, product of a volcanic eruption.
The adventure ends with a visit to Lake Conguillío, with an extension of approximately 800 hectares. It is a calm and crystalline lake that allows you to see in its depths the huge trunks that have been under its waters.
